Head of Retail Risk
George Axiotis is the Head of Risk at innogy’s Retail Segment. He is responsible for monitoring commodity and operational risks within innogy’s retail units.
George has worked in the commodity risk management industry since 1999. After starting with Aquila Energy in London, he joined RWE Supply & Trading in 2001, structuring transactions such as gas take-or-pay contracts, power purchase agreements and tolling contracts. In 2008, George moved to RWE npower’s retail business being responsible for the modelling and valuation of complex risks that arise from physical contracts. Since 2016 he has been heading the Risk unit of innogy’s Retail segment.
George holds an Economics degree (BA) from Rutgers University and a master’s degree (MSc) in Finance from Warwick Business School.
