Global Chief Risk Officer
In his role as Global Chief Risk Officer, Kristiaan Behiels manages the credit and market risk exposures across all the energy, chartering and hard commodity trading businesses in Noble Group. He also oversees the Insurance Function and sponsored a worldwide Noble Client Onboarding Project. Kristiaan has more than 20 years of experience in the energy and commodity trading sector. He joined Noble in December 2011 as Global Head of Credit Risk based in London and moved to Hong Kong in 2012. He was asked to step up as CRO in the second half of 2018 as part of Noble’s financial debt restructuring and re-allocated to Singapore in November 2020. Prior to joining Noble Kristiaan was Head of the EMEA Natural Resources & Commodity credit team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Head of the EMEA Energy & Commodities Trading Credit Group at Merrill Lynch. Previous experiences were at Deutsche Bank London and Belgium in trade finance and credit roles, mainly focusing on the shipping, trading, oil & gas and utility sectors.
