Laurent Caldichoury joined ENGIE in 1993, as a mathematical engineer, where he started working for Gas Transportation department. He became a gas trader in 1999, at the start of gas trading activities in continental Europe. From 1999 to 2015, he took many front-office roles, from junior trader to Deputy Director Trading. From 2016 to 2019, he focused in transforming ENGIE Asset Optimisation & Trading activities, including Executive Committee roles within Business Units Global LNG and Global Energy Management. He is now Chief Risk Officer within Business Unit Global Energy Management since April 2020, managing a team of 115 risk officers, located within 9 Countries worldwide. In addition, he is also serving as Chief Executive Officer of ENGIE Global Markets, Group regulated entity for energy trading activity, since June 2020.
