CONFERENCE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
 

These terms and conditions of attendance (“Terms”) shall govern an attendee’s (“Attendee” or “you”) registration to attend a conference or event (“Event”) hosted by Alpha Insight (“Alpha” or “Group”), located at PO 940652, Houston, TX 77094.

GOVERNING LAW

Any claim relating to Alpha Insight's web site shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

FEES
All fees for Event registration (“Fees”) are quoted and payable to Alpha by bank transfer or by credit card, cleared check within 30 days of invoice and by the time of the event start date. Fees may also be paid by check provided that the check has been received and cleared by Alpha prior to the day of the Event. The Attendee acknowledges and agrees that it will be responsible for the payment of any bank fees or other administrative charges which are levied in respect of the Fees and that any such charges will be in addition to the amount of Fees payable to Alpha. Fees do not include Attendee transportation to, or accommodation at, the Event.

Failure to pay the Fees by the required date will result in the Attendee being deemed to have cancelled their registration. The Fees and charges quoted are exclusive of all applicable value-added, sales, use and similar taxes. All payments made by the Attendee shall be made free and clear of, and without deduction or withholding for, taxes imposed by any governmental authority. Discounts or promotional offers cannot be combined unless otherwise stated, must be applied at the time of original registration, and cannot be applied retroactively. Verification of discount eligibility may be required.

RIGHT OF REFUSAL
Alpha reserves the right to refuse an Attendee’s admission to the Event at its sole discretion. If Alpha refuses admission to an Attendee who has registered and paid for an Event, Alpha will refund attendee’s registration fee.

 

CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY
All sales are final.  If a customer decides to cancel they may apply funds towards a future Alpha Insight event.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Alpha Insight reserves the right to hold any planned in-person event as a virtual or hybrid virtual/in person event at their discretion.  Alpha Insight also reserves the right to reschedule the event as needed.  If an event moves dates or moves to a virtual format, the delegate's registration will automatically transfer.
 

Alpha is entitled to cancel the Event by email notice to the Attendee (a) for any reason up to seven (7) calendar days before the first day of the Event or (b) for reasons of Force Majeure (as defined in these Terms and Conditions) at any time. Alpha’s liability for such cancellation is limited to a refund of the Fees already paid by Attendee at that time.

 

FORCE MAJEURE
Force Majeure means any circumstance not within Alpha’s reasonable control including, without limitation, acts of God, flood, drought, earthquake, severe or adverse weather conditions, or other natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic, terrorist attack, civil war, civil commotion or riots, war, threat or preparation of war, armed conflict, imposition of sanctions, embargo, breaking off of diplomatic relations, nuclear, chemical or biological contamination, any law or action taken by a government or public authority, fire, explosion, collapse of buildings or accident, labor or trade dispute, strikes, industrial action or lockouts and interruption or failure of utility services.

REVISIONS AND ERRATA

Alpha reserves the right to make alterations to the advertised Event program, agenda, and to the list of speakers and presenters at any time and without prior notice.

The materials appearing on Alpha Insight's web site could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. Alpha Insight does not warrant that any of the materials on its web site are accurate, complete, or current. Alpha Insight may make changes to the materials contained on its web site at any time without notice. Alpha Insight does not, however, make any commitment to update the materials.

LINKS

Alpha Insight has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its Internet web site and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by Alpha Insight of the site. Use of any such linked web site is at the user's own risk.

PRIVACY

Your privacy is very important to us. Accordingly, we have developed this Policy in order for you to understand how we collect, use, communicate and disclose and make use of personal information. The following outlines our privacy policy.
 

• By submitting your contact details and preferences you agree to Alpha sharing information provided by you with the Group and/or third parties whose products or services we believe may be of interest to you. In addition, Alpha may contract with selected companies in other countries to provide customer service assistance on its behalf.

• Before or at the time of collecting personal information, we will identify the purposes for which information is being collected.

• We will collect and use personal information solely with the objective of fulfilling those purposes specified by us and for other compatible purposes, unless we obtain the consent of the individual concerned or as required by law.

• We will only retain personal information as long as necessary for the fulfillment of those purposes.

• We will collect personal information by lawful and fair means and, where appropriate, with the knowledge or consent of the individual concerned.

• Personal data should be relevant to the purposes for which it is to be used, and, to the extent necessary for those purposes, should be accurate, complete, and up-to-date.

• We will protect personal information by reasonable security safeguards against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

• We will make readily available to customers information about our policies and practices relating to the management of personal information.
   

We are committed to conducting our business in accordance with these principles in order to ensure that the confidentiality of personal information is protected and maintained.

VIDEO AND PHOTOGRAPHY

Alpha, its representatives and event sponsors (and their representatives), photographs and make films/videos and other recordings at Alpha Events and it may use, incorporate and/or publish the photography, film or other recording in its advertising and marketing campaigns and in any corporate communications. If an Attendee does not wish his or her image to be used in this way he or she must notify the event organizer or another member of the Alpha team as soon as possible prior to the end of the Event.
 

PRESS

Alpha maintains an open press policy.  All comments from the speakers or questions publicly asked in an open forum environment may be reported or recorded by the press.

 

LIABILITY
The Attendee shall indemnify and hold harmless Alpha, Alpha’s affiliates and Alpha’s employees, directors, officers, representatives and agents from any and all claims, damages, liabilities and expenses (including, without limitation, reasonable legal expenses and court costs) arising out of or in relation to (i) any bodily injuries or harm or property damage caused by Attendee or any of its personnel in connection with the Event, (ii) the breach of this agreement by the Attendee or (iii) the negligence or willful misconduct of the Attendee.

In no event shall Alpha or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, punitive or consequential damages including, but not limited to loss of profits, trading losses, or lost time or goodwill, even if they have been advised of the possibility of such.
 

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
Each Attendee acknowledges and agrees that no copying, recording or re-distribution of the Materials, or any part thereof, is permitted unless authorized by Alpha in writing.

 

ANTI-TRUST COMPLIANCE
Alpha is committed to full compliance with all applicable antitrust laws. Alpha expects Attendees at each Event to be aware of, understand, and comply with all antitrust laws and not to use any Event to co-ordinate their commercial activities. Any activity that could create an appearance of a restriction upon or a distortion of competition must be avoided. Alpha reserves the right to ask anyone it believes does not comply with antitrust laws to cease and desist and/or to leave any Event without compensation or refund of fees.
 

SEVERABILITY AND INCONSISTENCY

If any provision of this agreement is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remaining provisions of this agreement shall not be affected or impaired and the invalid, illegal or unenforceable provision shall be deemed to be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable.
 

ENTIRE AGREEMENT

This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes all prior agreements, understandings and representations between the parties.
